centerRing Community Center courtyard wall, 2005
Built as part of Portland's annual Village Building Convergence, this wall created a courtyard by separating the community center's side lot from the busy avenue on which it was located. The wall was designed in conjunction with Sukita Crimmel and built as a community effort with Sukita and I leading master classes in the wall's unique Mexican "pajareque" building technique.
